We regret to announce the death of René Soucy on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 85 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on his hobby farm, taking care of his horses, gardening and travelling. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, one daughter, Janine Letourneau wife of Paul of Hearst, three sons, Yvon husband of Denise of Kapuskasing, André husband of Marlène of Niagara Falls and Alex husband of Suzanne of Moonbeam, two sisters, Jeanne D'Arc Boulanger of Shawinigan and Yollande Lefebvre of Magog, two brothers, Mathieu of Montreal and Raymond of St-Alexandre, as well as eight grandchildren, Roxanne, Tanya, Lisa, Paul, Mérick, Zoé, Marc and Marie-José, eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Christian, Justin, Jérémie, Cody, Chloé, Danelle and Jean-Michel. He was predeceased by one brother, Jean-Marc. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19th at Immaculée Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
