We regret to announce the death of Rita Tremblay on February 21, 2010 at the age of 87 years. She had managed her parents general store in Harty and was an accomplished musician, playing from the age of 14 until 86. For her 65 years of devotion, she received a benemerenti from the Pope. She has been a member of many parish comities and was also a member of U.C.F.O. She is survived by five daughters : Pauline Guindon wife of Fernand of Hearst, Robertine Beauvais wife of Gaëtan of North Bay, Marthe Tremblay, Jocelyne Girardin wife of Ronald all of Kapuskasing and Françoise Roy wife of Damien of Thorne; seven sons: Réjean husband of Ginette, Lucien, Mario husband of Lou-Anne all of Kapuskasing, Robert husband of Orane of Harty, Yvan husband of Suzanne of Val-des-Bois, Québec, Jean-Guy husband of Barb of Edmonton and Miville husband of Josée of Hearst; four sisters: Georgette Couture of Kapuskasing, Thérèse Brown of Montréal, Jacqueline Sigouin of Opasatika and Claudette Millette of Ottawa; five brothers: Octave Ouellette, Marius Ouellette, Jean-Jacques Ouellette all of Harty, Richard Ouellette and Maurice Ouellette all of Kapuskasing; as well as 31 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Tremblay in 2005, one son, Denis; one daughter, Marie and one grandson, Alexandre Lukowski. Rita Tremblay will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25th at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires at 10:30 a.m. with Father Robert Tremblay officiating.
