We regret to announce the death of Romuald Giasson on Sunday March 4, 2007 at Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his wife Céline of Kapuskasing; 4 sons: Gérald (Susan) of Nelson B.C., Denis (Inez) of Kapuskasing, Robert (Debbie) of Sault-Ste-Marie Michigan, Louis (Shannon) of Val Rita; 2 sisters: Yvette Jalbert of Gaspé, Georgette of Gaspé; 2 stepsons: Allan Thérrien of Rouyn-Noranda, Eddy Thérrien of Kapuskasing; 1 brother: Urgel Giasson of Montréal as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Madeleine Giasson née Bedard. A memorial service was held on Saturday March 10, 2007 at the Immaculée Conception Church, Kapuskasing with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Cremation was held at Hillcrest Crematorium, Matheson. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society in memory of Romuald Giasson.
