Obituary for
Sébastien Bélanger
We regret to announce the death of Sébastien Bélanger on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 94. He arrived in the area in 1938. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, dancing and spending time with his family. He is survived by two children, Daniel Bélanger of Montreal and Lise Bélanger of Kapuskasing, one grandson, Sébastien, as well as two sisters, Marie-Alice Tanguay and Laurette St-Louis. He was predeceased by his wife Rita, seven brothers, Joseph, Ésiore, Gérard, Adéodat, Antonin, Roger and Adelmar, four sisters, Simone, Marie-Marthe, Lorenza and Zora-Ide. Sébastien Bélanger will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23rd at the Immaculée Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jean-Paul Décarie officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Mano would be greatly appreciated.
