The Blue Chest

My dad would surprise me as a child often.Showing up with a giant teddy bear for me on Christmas eve , just having travelled home from work down south through a storm.Building my dog a kennel in the basement and a dog house outside . Most touching was when he took an old stereo or was it a tv cabinet from years before we had kicking around and while I was out for the day ,ripping everything inside out , restructuring it and finishing it off with a coat of the most lurid blue enamel paint, then telling me on my discovery of it that that was my toolbox for all my art supplies .So that I could be organized and that no others could go through the tools of my trade he said. To this day I ply my trade and try to encourage others through actions and not just words. Thanks Dad.
