I will always remember Rene as a very charismatic and energetic man with a very distinctive voice. Although we both worked for MNR, I had only met Rene a few times at Showcase or at conferences because we worked in different cities. I got to know Rene when he was the LIO Help at the time when LIO was first launched and I probably called him everyday to log a ticket to tell him something was wrong. He was always friendly and helpful and lent an ear to my complaints. He was very special to all his family, friends and colleagues; he will be missed.
